Meet the doctors
Olivia Pan, DVM
Dr. Pan grew up in New Jersey and attended Rutgers University where she majored in Biologic Sciences and minored in Psychology and Chinese. After college, she worked her first veterinary job as a veterinary assistant which solidified her decision to go to veterinary school. She attended Cornell University for her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree and then continued on to a 1 year rotating internship in Internal Medicine, Surgery, Emergency Medicine, and Radiology at Veterinary Medical and Surgical Group in Ventura, California.
After her internship, Dr. Pan joined VCA Hospitals and worked in upstate New York for 4 years. She then moved to Richmond, Virginia where she was Medical Director of two separate veterinary hospitals. She was awarded 2013 and 2015 Regional Medical Director of the Year and both of her hospitals won numerous customer service awards.
Her special interests include ophthalmology, soft tissue surgery, and internal medicine.
On her off time, Dr. Pan enjoys hiking, baking, knitting, swimming and competing in half marathons. She is very excited to join Desert View Animal Hospital and looks forward to serving this community.

Janel Schietzelt, DVM
Dr. Schietzelt is originally from Saratoga Springs, New York. She completed her undergraduate degree at Montana State University where she specialized in wildlife conservation in Yellowstone National Park and worked in Zambia performing carnivore research. She completed her doctorate in veterinary medicine at Washington State University. Dr. Schietzelt has a passion for helping foster the human-animal bond. She has particular interests in preventive care, emergency medicine, and animal behavior. When she’s not helping our four-legged family members, Dr. Schietzelt enjoys traveling, going to concerts, and spending time with her family, pitbull named Mellie, and her 3 cats: Luda, Joey, and Piper.


Kristen Grove, DVM
Dr. Grove was born and grew up in Algonquin, Illinois. She completed an undergraduate degree at the University of Northern Iowa, where she received her major in biology with a minor in chemistry. Throughout her undergraduate program, she continued to develop a passion for veterinary medicine while working at a local small animal clinic. Dr. Grove gave up the cold weather and completed her doctorate in veterinary medicine in the sunny state of Arizona at Midwestern University. She is a 2023 graduate of Midwestern University. Her interests are anesthesiology, preventative medicine, and soft-tissue surgery. When not working, she enjoys exercising, reading while cuddling with her two cats, Ludwig and Lemmy, and hiking with her husband and dog, Bowser.

Joshua Sosnow, DVM
Dr. Sosnow is a native of Arizona, growing up near the Catalina Mountains in Tucson. He attended Occidental College in Los Angeles and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He then went on to attend the joint-degree program at Oregon/Washington State Universities where he earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. After graduating from Veterinary school Dr. Sosnow spent 13 months training at the Animal Medical Center (www.amcny.org) in New York City. During his study at the Animal Medical Center he completed rotations in Cardiology, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, Internal Medicine and Surgery...just to name a few! After completing his residency in New York City, Dr. Sosnow worked at a well-established animal hospital in Scarsdale, NY where he built a loyal following of clients. After several years in New York, he and his wife decided they'd had enough of the cold weather and moved to Phoenix, Arizona. In 2004 Dr. Sosnow purchased North Scottsdale Animal Hospital where he is committed to turning his dreams into reality. His areas of special interest include: Dermatology, Internal Medicine, Allergy Treatment, Gastrointestinal Diseases and Infectious Diseases.
Meet our team

Brittnie was born in Arizona but spent many years in New Hampshire where her love of animals really took off. She always spent her time outside studying any animal she saw and would research the local wildlife in the area she lived. She was a part of the FFA in high school, where she raised Chickens and had an award-winning show rabbit! Brittnie loves to be outside exploring new places, and loves spending time with her friends, family, and pets.

Chelsea was originally from New Mexico but grew up all over the United States. She graduated from Kaplan Tech School in 2008 and has been working in the veterinary field since. Chelsea brings dependability, honesty, and friendliness to Desert View Animal Hospital and has been a great asset to the hospital. When she is not working, she likes to cook, spend time with family and friends, and watch TV with her dog, Quinneva and two cats, Cash and Zero.

Delainie grew up in Washington and recently moved to Arizona from Seattle. She has been working with animals since 2021 when she graduated from PIMA medical institute with her Veterinary Assistant certificate. In her free time she likes to scuba dive, play board games/video games, bake goodies, go try new restaurants and play with my animals. Delainie has a Husky/German Shepard named Luna, a cat named Handsome, and a bearded dragon named Flynn Rider.

Jonathan was born in California but raised in west Phoenix. He has always loved animals. As a little kid he found frogs, lizards, and chickens, but trying to keep them as pets never worked out. Jonathan went to school at Carrington College in 2011 and works full time at Arizona Humane Society in the dog and cat isolation and trauma hospital. In his spare time, he likes to cook and spend time with his family. He has 3 dogs and 1 cat. Molly, Raja, Chanel, and Gucci.

Karen is an Arizona native. She graduated from Carrington College under the Veterinary Assistant program in 2020. Prior to her joining our team here at Desert View Animal Hospital, Karen was an assistant manager at Camp Bow Wow. This is where she got to oversee the proper care for dogs who were there for boarding and day care. She brings trust, happiness, love, and passion to our team. Karen loves to go on walks and adventures with her two dogs Kilo and Chiquita.

Maya is an Arizona native. She graduated from Cactus Shadows High School and East Valley Institute of Technology in 2022. Maya is currently studying to become a licensed Vet Tech. When she’s not in school, Maya enjoys spending time with her 2 Labradors and 4 horses. If she’s not studying, working, or playing with her furry friends, she also likes to read and draw. She loves working with Desert View Animal Hospital and is truly grateful for the experiences and opportunities she has gained.

Vanessa is an Arizona native and joins the Desert View Animal Hospital team after her recent graduation from the Veterinary Assistant program at Carrington College. Vanessa began her veterinary career as a kennel technician at a local animal shelter in 2015. It was at that time; she adopted her dog Casper. During her free time, Vanessa enjoys watching movies and spending time with family. She is excited to care for the dogs and cats in the Desert View Animal Hospital family.
